About Us

In April of 2016, Ashley Carlow bought Traditions Bridal and Formal, a Texarkana bridal shop that had been serving the community for 45 years. Before buying Traditions from it's previous owner, Ashley had dedicated her life to teaching for 24 years. She brought this same dedication to the bridal world and worked hard to bring the top styles and designers to Texarkana. In March 2018, after recognizing substantial growth, Traditions moved from its Summerhill location to its much larger, newly renovated location on Kennedy Lane. Due to the new location and growth of their business, Ashley and her husband Brad wanted to make their shop more personal and close to their hearts. After months of consideration and prayer, they decided to rebrand Traditions as Gracyn Elizabeth Bride.

Ashley and her husband sadly suffered the loss of a stillborn daughter in 2000 and had always wanted to find a way to honor her memory. Her name was Gracyn Elizabeth. Ashley excitedly announced that Traditions would become Gracyn Elizabeth Bride in honor of her daughter. With this new name came a new purpose and vision. Ashley has formed a partnership with local hospitals and seamstresses, taking a percentage of every Gracyn Elizabeth Private Label gown sold to make satin Angel Gowns. These gowns will be offered to families who will, unfortunately, also suffer the loss of a baby through stillborn delivery. Ashley hopes to offer other families peace and comfort through Gracyn Elizabeth Bride.
